Well folks---It`s been a while since I posted much of anything. I`m gonna try to get a little more regular again.
Here is the last two volumes of J.E. Mainer put out on the Rural Rhythm label. I`m sorry, but these 2 LP`s aren`t in very good condition, they are crackly and have some skips.
I still have some other J.E. Mainer items to post on other labels. When I get done with J.E.`s stuff I likely will start posting material of his brother, Wade, Who recently passed away at 103 years old!

Here is an ultra-rare one. This was cut at the same session as the Rachel & Oswald 78 that`s posted below.
The first song, I Found My Mama, was a common "talking" harmonica number that such great country harmonica pickers, such as Lonnie Glosson, Wayne Raney & Salty Holmes commonly performed. The cast is Jimmie On harmonica of course, Rachel Veach as the "mother", Oswald on dobro, possibly Joe Zinkan on bass and likely Benny Martin on straight guitar.
The other number, The Three Trees, comes from a skit record recorded in the teens, or possibly earlier, by the author, Tom McNaughton. What an odd choice to record! We have Jimmie on harp and as narrator, Oswald on dobro, likely Benny Martin on guitar and possibly Joe Zinkan on bass.
Unfortunately, the disc got cracked all the way from the center hole to the edge in shipping to me, so there is a tick through both sides. This, at least as of now, is the only copy of this disc I know of to have been found.
There are some harmonica fanatics that follow my blog, so, this one`s for you all!!

Mrs. Brown, I`m very sorry to have offended you. I look and try to figure out if the records I post are still available new and didn`t find it, as it`s been out 30 to 35 years. Just to make sure you know, I make NO money from these posts. You mentioned about buying it in many catalogs and on ebay (as I did). I`m sure none of them are new sales that you could get a royalty from, as all them would be used.
So, once again I`m sorry for upsetting you.
Apparently, Mrs. Brown got the post deleted without giving me the chance of a day or two to do it. So, there is a chance that Blogger may delete my blog due to her complaint of the one post. Sorry if it happens to the many followers that enjoy it. We`ll see what happens here in the future----Allen

Marcus was a man from his hometown who dared to stand up for his belief against oppression and pro-independence for Jamaicans.
Winston was working with fellow artists Rupert Willington and DelRoy Hinds when he was at the verge of splitting with the two. Eventually, he parted from them and took the stage name Burning Spear as his own. Its origin refers to a military medal given in Independent Kenya, as a symbol of African Pride and liberty.
After the split up, Rodney took control of his music making which gave him a higher degree of artistic control. It was then that the name was referred to Rodney alone. And true enough, his career path went in a more fruitful path giving him recognition as high as Grammy Nominations.
As much as his works are available in digital formats, there are still some burning spear vinals for songs in his early years of music making. The availability could be scarce but then there are still the ones that stood the test of time. They are for sale online in pristine condition.

A few weeks ago my roommate came home and told me about a new country song that she absolutely love and she introduced me to one of my new favorite country songs "Lover, Lover" by Jerrod Niemann. Jerrod Neimann has been releasing songs since 2006 but this was his first top 10 single. Not only does Jerrod Neimann sing he also writes songs for very famous country artist like Jamey Johnson, Neal McCoy, Julie Roberts and wrote Garth Brooks hit single "Good Ride Cowboy." Jerrod Niemann has such a great voice and this song has such a good rhythm and fun lyrics to sing along with I am not surprised at all that it is a top 10 hit. If you haven't heard it yet I highly suggest taking a few minutes to listen to it because I am sure you will love it too!

Brooks & Dunn and Jason Aldean Concert in MN!!!

I can't believe Brooks & Dunn and Jason Aldean will be in Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center in just a few days!!! I have been waiting a very very long time to get the chance to see Jason Aldean. I saw Jason Aldean at the Minnesota State Fair last summer and it was by far the best country concert I have ever seen. I was recently selected to become an official blogger for Road Trips and Guitar Picks which is sponsors for Jason Aldean and Jewel. Thanks to Road Trips and Guitar Picks I get the chance to see Jason Aldean and get backstage passes to meet Jewel. They have a very cool website, www.tripsandpicks.com, that has many pictures of fans and the artists and a lot of great articles about the artist so everyone should check it out! I am also very excited to see Brooks & Dunn for the first time which is ironically the last time they will be touring together. Last night I got the chance to not only see Jewel in concert but I also got to go backstage and meet her and watch a private performance. The private performance was amazing! First my friend Anna and I got to take a picture with her, she answered a few questions and then she sang a song just a few feet away from me that she just recently wrote. My friend Anna asked Jewel why she switched to country music and Jewel explained that she always thought her music belonged on country stations because she likes writing meaningful songs but with her first label they wouldn't let her music play on country stations. I'm really glad that Anna asked that question because most of you know that I don't always like artist that switch over to country but after that explanation I completely understood her and no longer consider her a cross over artist. Jewel has such an amazing voice and is a very talented song writer. During her concert she sang a song called "Count to Ten" that will be on her new album and I am predicting that it will be a #1 single on the country stations. I had such an amazing time from start to finish. I was able to do all of this because of the people at Country Financial. New Lee Brice CD Love Like Crazy!

I recently bought the new Lee Brice CD and I absolutely love it! Most of you probably know Lee Brice because of his hit single "Love Like Crazy." I bet a lot of people don't know that Lee Brice has also wrote many songs for other country stars including Garth Brooks comeback single "More Than a Memory" and Tim McGraw's hit single "Still." There is a song for everyone on his new CD! If you are looking for a song to listen to while drinking beers with buddies around a bonfire there is "Sumter County Friday Night." If you are looking for a great love song there "Love Like Crazy." For those of you (like me) who enjoy a sad song every now and then there is "Happy Endings." My favorite songs on the CD that have become some of my all-time favorite country songs are "Power of a Woman" and "These Last Few Days." I am making a prediction that Lee Brice's song "These Last Few Days" will become a huge #1 single! I bet a lot of people don't know that Lee Brice has also wrote many songs for other country stars including Garth Brooks comeback single "More Than a Memory" and Tim McGraw's hit single "Still." If you are looking for a great love song there "Love Like Crazy." For those of you (like me) who enjoy a sad song every now and then there is "Happy Endings." I was beyond excited when I found out that Tim McGraw will be playing at the Minnesota State Fair on August 28, 2010!!! I have been a huge fan of Tim McGraw since "Indian Outlaw" and have not had the opportunity yet to see him in concert. Tim McGraw has been everywhere lately because of his staring role in The Blind Side and his chart toping new album Southern Voice. I have loved every movie that Tim McGraw has been in including Friday Night Lights, Flicka and Four Christmases. But, I first fell in love with Tim McGraw because of his music. Some of my favorite Tim McGraw songs are: "Don't Take the Girl," "I Like It, I Love It," "She Never Lets It Go To Her Heart," "It's Your Love," "Where The Green Grass Grows," "Just To See You Smile," "My Best Friend," "Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me," "Live Like You Were Dying," "Over & Over," "If Your Reading This" and "Southern Voice." I can't wait to hear all of these songs live!!! Opening for Tim Mcgraw is Julianne Hough who most people know from Dancing With the Stars. Julianne Hough is also a new country singer whose most popular single is "That Song in My Head." Tim Mcgraw tickets will be going on-sale next week and I will keep everyone updated on when and how you can get them!

Josh Turner will be performing in Minnesota at the Mystic Lake Casino on August 19th, 2010! I have always liked Josh Turner because of his unique/distinctive voice! Josh Turner released his first single "Long Black Train" in 2003 and it spent more than 40 weeks on the Billboard country charts. Josh Turner has released many great singles since then including: "Your Man," "Would You Go With Me," "Firecracker," "Another Try" which he recorded with Trish Yearwood and his newest single "Why Don't We Just Dance." A few weeks ago my roommate came home and told me about a new country song that she absolutely love and she introduced me to one of my new favorite country songs "Lover, Lover" by Jerrod Niemann. Jerrod Neimann has been releasing songs since 2006 but this was his first top 10 single. Not only does Jerrod Neimann sing he also writes songs for very famous country artist like Jamey Johnson, Neal McCoy, Julie Roberts and wrote Garth Brooks hit single "Good Ride Cowboy." Jerrod Niemann has such a great voice and this song has such a good rhythm and fun lyrics to sing along with I am not surprised at all that it is a top 10 hit. If you haven't heard it yet I highly suggest taking a few minutes to listen to it because I am sure you will love it too!
